This Week’s Little Things

Hello Hue Little Things

I’m linking up with Lindsay for “It’s the Little Things” over at Hello Hue today.

This week I am thankful for daily devotional books and the reminders of God’s goodness that they contain.

Draw near to Me with a thankful heart, aware that your cup is overflowing with blessings.  Gratitude enables you to perceive Me more clearly and to rejoice in our Love-relationship.  Nothing can separate you from My loving Presence!  That is the basis of your security.  Whenever you start to feel anxious, remind yourself that your security rests in Me alone, and I am totally trustworthy.

You will never be in control of your life circumstances, but you can relax and trust in My control.  Instead of striving for a predictable, safe lifestyle, seek to know Me in greater depth and breadth.  I long to make your life a glorious adventure, but you must stop clinging to old ways.  I am always doing something new within My beloved ones.  Be on the lookout for all that I have prepared for you.

I’m also thankful for the 40% off discount coupon I got in the mail from Lifeway and the Jeremy Camp worship CD I bought with it.

I am also thankful for Jeremy Camp and pretty much every single song he has ever written or sung.  I’m thankful that God blessed him (along with many other Christian artists) with tremendous talent, and that he chooses to use that talent and the brokenness in his past to serve God and minister to others.

I’m thankful that his story also includes restoration from that brokenness, which gives me hope for the same.

He could easily be using his talent in a non-Christian setting to make a TON of money.  The man’s voice is PHENOMENAL.

And some people might consider him handsome.

Jeremy Camp

Some people, anyway.

  1. The message from the Jesus Calling devotional blessed me so much. In fact, I paid it forward so that a friend of mine could be blessed as well. Thank you for sharing. May God grace you beyond beyond.
