Opportunity – #fiveminutefriday

Standard

It’s #FiveMinuteFriday!

Every Friday people join a kind of writing flash mob over here.  We write for five minutes flat. All on the same prompt that Lisa Jo posts at 1 minute past midnight EST every Friday. And we connect on Twitter with the hashtag #FiveMinuteFriday

No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation.

Unscripted. Unedited. Real.

Are you ready

GO

What a perfect word to start out this new year.  In fact, it goes hand-in-hand with my One Word for 2013.

OPPORTUNITY . . .

. . . to begin again.

. . . to start over.

. . . to pursue my God-given dreams and goals.

. . . to let Him bring the people into my life that need to be there, and remove the ones who don’t.

. . . to become the me He made me to be instead of the me he (they) expected me to be.

. . . to live life to the fullest each and every day.

. . . to dare to believe that He has plans to prosper me and not to harm me, to give me a future and a hope.

. . . to dare to hope that someday that future will include a true partner that will understand me, accept me for who I am, and choose to be completely committed to me just as I will choose to be completely committed to him.

. . . to find my identity in Christ alone, not in other people.

. . . to let Him do a NEW thing in me.

STOP

Wanna play? Here’s how:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments.

  1. Beautiful! Living Jeremiah 29:11 – really believing the words actually apply to us right here right now – takes a lot of courage. Wishing you the best for your new starts and opportunities!

  2. Dear Nancy
Reading your list I couldn’t help but add, the wisdom to live each day in Him from moment to moment drawing our life from His. Yes, looking ahead at the future that awaits us when we go home, fills my heart with so much joy!
Much love and a blessed 2013
    Mia
